Tehillim/Psalms 46.2-4, 12

IMGP3035

God is our refuge and stronghold,

a help in trouble, very near.

Therefore we are not afraid

though the earth reels,

though mountains topple into the sea ~

its waters rage and foam;

in its swell mountains quake. Selah. . . .

[but] The Lord of hosts is with us;

The God of Jacob is our haven. Selah.

Tehillim/Psalms 104.10-13

IMGP1739

You made springs gush forth in torrents;

they make their way between the hills,

giving drink to all the wild beasts;

the wild asses slake their thirst.

The birds of the sky dwell beside them

and sing among the foliage.

You water the mountains from Your lofts;

the earth is sated from the fruit of Your work.

Tehillim/Psalms 104.10-13

Tehillim/Psalms 90.1b-2

O Lord, You have been our refuge in every generation.

Before the mountains came into being,

before You brought forth the earth and the world,

from eternity to eternity, You are God.

Tehillim/Psalms 90.1b-2

Tehillim/Psalms 125.1-2

Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion

that cannot be moved, enduring forever.

Jerusalem, hills enfold it,

and the Lord enfolds His people now and forever.

Tehillim/Psalms 125.1-2

Tehillim/Psalms 131

O Lord, my heart is not proud nor my look haughty;

I do not aspire to great things or to what is beyond me;

but I have taught myself to be contented like a weaned child with its mother;

like a weaned child am I in my mind.

O Israel, wait for the Lord now and forever.

Tehillim/Psalms 131

Tehillim/Psalms 147.1

Hallelujah.

It is good to chant hymns to our G-d;

it is pleasant to sing glorious praise.

Tehillim/Psalms 147.1

***I love posting to this blog. Singing the Psalms is a powerful prayer and sustainer of one’s spirit. Even though there are few visitors to this site, it is special to me. I will, however, have to take a hiatus due to the mounting demands of graduate school. I will most probably not be back with any regularity till the latter part of April.  Keep praying and singing the Palms and if you like, check in on my primary blog (Inspired Vision) from time to time. I will continue posting there but on a very reduced schedule. Enjoy the remainder of winter and I will see you again in the spring. 🙂

Tehillim/Psalms 20.2-6

May the Lord answer you in time of trouble,

the name of Jacob’s G-d keep you safe.

May He send you help from the sanctuary,

and sustain you from Zion.

May He receive the tokens of all your meal offerings,

and approve your burnt offerings.  Selah

May He grant you your desire,

and fulfill your every plan.

May we shout for joy in your victory,

arrayed by standards in the name of our G-d.

May the Lord fulfill your every wish.
